Well, first of all, this is a work car. Look at it that way. This is what renting a cargo van is all about, there's not much romance, but it gets the job done. The driver + 2 people fit in the front.

The radio plays, the windows roll down, "the car starts and drives". 5 gears with a lever from the floor will allow you to feel the rare pleasure of having not only a manual gearbox, but also the opportunity to wave the gears widely.

An interesting fact about the car (not this one specifically, but this generation of Ford Transit) is that in 2001 (long ago, in the fall of that year, American skyscrapers were attacked by terrorists), so this van that year became the International Van of the Year that year. This is a competition that has been organized since 1992, which was won for the first time (but not the last) by Ford Transit.

Another fun fact, the legendary Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson got into a conflict over his Nürburgring lap time with a diesel Jaguar S-Type (if you've read this far, he lapped the Nürburgring with a diesel Jaguar S-Type in 9.59 minutes), the legendary racer of this track RIP Sabine Schmitz made fun of Jeremy Clarkson's time and said "I tell you something, I do that lap time in the van". The van, to be fair, had more powerful, 2.4 diesel engine. And Sabine was such a track enthusiast that when asked in a Top Gear interview how many accidents she had, she simply said "I don't know, I don't count anymore". With that van, she took 10.23.70 minutes. Of course, she tried the second time, got rid of all the junk, seats, spare wheels, tool kits, fire extinguishers, wipers, Richard Hammond, and the cracks and stable cavities (such as door handles) were sealed with the silver tape. Continuing the little tricks, she put the the Dodge Viper on the track in front of the Transit so that the car's aerodynamics would create an air bubble in which the van could drive more stably and without wind resistance. She failed to achieve her goal on 10.08.49. So this van was not faster than the Jaguar, but is the story fun? If so, we will attach a video with her driving.
